Local body elections are held throughout New Zealand every three years. The next election for the Gore District Council, Mataura Licensing Trust and Gore and Districts Health will be held on October 12 2019.

  • 25 July - Candidate Information Evening at the James Cumming Wing, 7.00pm
  • 16 August - Nominations close at midday
  • 20 September - Voter packs mailed to electors. Voting opens
  • 12 October - Voting closes at midday. Progress result asap thereafter
  • By 17 October - Official result released
  • From 17 October - Official result advertised

 

Voter Information

Gore District residents  

If you are enrolled as a Gore District resident and already enrolled on the parliamentary electoral roll you will automatically enrolled to vote in the local government elections.

If you need to enrol or update existing name or address details on the parliamentary electoral roll, you can do so at any Post Shop, online at www.elections.org.nz or by phoning 0800 36 76 56.

 

Non-resident ratepayers
