Council helps families get to ILT Kidzone
The Gore District Council is helping families get to ILT Kidzone this winter with subsidised buses to the event on Thursday 14 July.
A return bus ride to the Festival, in Invercargill, will cost only $2 per person.
Tickets to Kidzone are now on sale at the Gore Visitor Centre and on the ILTKidzone website, and cost $15 per person.
ILT Kidzone is an activities and entertainment event aimed at under 13-year-olds, and attracts more than 10,000 people from all over Southland each year.
Gore District Events and Promotions Coordinator Emma Carle said she hoped as many children as possible from the Gore District would be able to take advantage of the bus service and attend.
"ILT Kidzone is a super fun event."
All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult both for the bus ride to Invercargill and to enter the Festival.
Bookings are essential and must be made before Friday 1 July.
Buses depart from the Gore Trout Statue reserve at 9.30am and the Mataura Railway Station at 9.45am, and return the same day.
ILT Kidzone Festival Managements reserves the right to cancel any buses with insufficient numbers.
