Great response to LTP consultation
The Gore District Council's draft 2015-2025 Long Term Plan consultation document has attracted a great response from people wanting to have their say on Gore's Future.
The Council received 213 feedback forms at the close of the four week consultation period. That's a huge increase on the 101 submissions received during the last Long Term Plan consultation in 2012.
While most feedback forms were received in hard copy, people were keen to take advantage of the online submission option offered for the first time this year. Almost 40 people filed their submissions online.
Of those who made a submission, just under 40 people have asked to speak at the Long Term Plan hearing. This has been set down for Tuesday 26 May, starting at 1.00pm. However the time is subject to change to ensure everyone is given the opportunity to have their say.
The Council is presently collating all the submissions and will be contacting those who want to speak at the hearing in the near future.
