Revamped Gore Library set to reopen on Monday
The Gore Library will reopen its doors next Monday after a hectic week of installing new shelving and transferring books.
District library manager Lorraine Weston-Webb said it has been an exhausting week but well worth the effort.
It was hard turning away people who were unaware of the week-long closure and staff are looking forward to welcoming everyone back and showing them what was new, she said.
“We’d love people to come and look around.”
Over the last couple of months there have been several changes at the library in preparation for the installation of the new customised shelving. This is the first layout change at the library since it was opened in 1983.
The library re-opens at 9.30am on Monday.
