Review of Class 4 Gambling and TAB Venue Policy
The Gore District Council is undertaking a review of its Class 4 Gambling and TAB Venue Policy, and is inviting submissions on the existing policy.
The policy was developed as a consequence of the Gambling Act 2003, which confers authority on Councils to regulate the growth and location of Class 4 (non-casino pokie) gaming machines and TAB venues.
The Class 4 Gambling and TAB Venue Policy reflects the view that the social impact of gambling has not changed in the Gore District since the policy was last reviewed in 2010. Under this policy, the only restriction on venues would be those required by legislation and the Department of Internal Affairs.
