Submissions open for the draft Annual Plan 2014/15
The Council's draft Annual Plan for the coming financial year has been adopted.
The Plan allows for a 3.76% district-wide rate increase, which will see just under $15.8 million collected in rates in 2014/15.
It is important for residents to have their say on the Council's plans for the next 12 months by making a formal submission.
Some of the key points in the Plan are:
- Changing the way commercial properties are rated for parks and reserves,
- Fencing the Eccles Street playground,
- Establishing a dog park at Hamilton Park, and
- Raising a $1.9 million loan for stage one of a major wastewater improvement project for South and West Gore.
Submissions close at 5pm on Tuesday 27 May. You can download a submission form below or email info@goredc.govt.nz and ask for one to be sent to you.
