Subsidised buses to ILT Kidzone from Gore and Mataura

Once again travelling to ILT Kidzone will be cheap as chips for Gore District families with a return bus ride to Invercargill only $2.

The Gore District Council is subsidising buses to the final day of the festival on Monday 17 July.

ILT Kidzone is an activities and entertainment event aimed at under 13-year-olds and attracts more than 10,000 people from Southland and further afield each year.

This year’s theme is Out of this World.

The Council events and promotions coordinator Emma Carle said ILT Kidzone was a fantastic event for the region and it was great to be able to make it easy for Gore District families to attend.

“It’s fun for all ages,” Ms Carle said.

Programmes will be available nearer the time.

All children under 14 would need to be accompanied by an adult both to board the bus and to attend the festival.

Buses will depart from the Gore trout statue at 9.30am and the Mataura Railway Station at 9.45am. The bus will arrive in Invercargill at 10.30am, in time for the start of the festival.

The bus will leave Invercargill for the return trip at 3.45pm when the festival closes..

Tickets to Kidzone and for the Go Go Gore bus are on sale at the Gore Visitor Centre until Monday 3 July. Festival entry is $15 per person (free for under 2-year-olds).
