Gardener Labourer

Do you enjoy working outside and have a green thumb for maintaining the outdoor spaces, then we have a role for you! The Parks and Recreation department is looking for a new member to join their amazing team. You will be responsible for development and maintenance of Gore's Main Street gardens and the Council's nursery. You will be a team player and assist in maintaining the Council’s parks and recreational areas.

About the role

We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who will assist with general parks and gardens maintenance, primarily the bedding displays and urban shrub plots in the Gore main street. In addition, assist with the day-to-day management of the Council’s propagating areas and nursery, in conjunction with the Lead Hand.

About You

• Basic horticultural qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in the horticultural or in a similar industry.
• Good computer skills.
• Team-oriented and positive attitude.
• You must be reliable, meticulous and have an organised approach to work with the ability to follow instructions.
• You will enjoy working outside and get great satisfaction from a job well done! A good level of fitness.
• A full, current driver's license with endorsement appropriate to the position
