Marketing & Communications Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and results driven Marketing & Communications Manager to join us at Gore District Council. This role requires a creative thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of brand management and customer engagement. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in a marketing leadership role, with experience in the public sector being advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and executing programs and events to promote council initiatives and services.
• Building positive relationships with work colleagues, community groups, stakeholders, and residents.
• Developing and implementing successful communications, engagement and marketing strategies
• Representing the council at community events, meetings, and forums.
• Providing marketing advice and support to the Council’s community facilities.
• Leading a team to thrive and grow.

What we are looking for:

• Recognised qualification in marketing
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, graphic design, social media & brand management
• Excellent communication & leadership skills
• Creative mindset & ability to think outside the box
• Experience managing budgets
• Successful career history in leading a successful marketing team
• Passion for the Gore community
