We are looking for a dynamic and results driven Marketing & Communications Manager to join us at Gore District Council. This role requires a creative thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of brand management and customer engagement. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in a marketing leadership role, with experience in the public sector being advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing programs and events to promote council initiatives and services.
- Building positive relationships with work colleagues, community groups, stakeholders, and residents.
- Developing and implementing successful communications, engagement and marketing strategies
- Representing the council at community events, meetings, and forums.
- Providing marketing advice and support to the Council’s community facilities.
- Leading a team to thrive and grow.
What we are looking for:
- Recognised qualification in marketing
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, graphic design, social media & brand management
- Excellent communication & leadership skills
- Creative mindset & ability to think outside the box
- Experience managing budgets
- Successful career history in leading a successful marketing team
- Passion for the Gore community
