Animal Support Officer

We are looking for an Animal Support Officer, to join the Gore District Council Regulatory team. The successful applicant will provide after-hours services for animal control functions.

The key attributes we need:

• Must be a people person and be able to relate to customers in a professional manner.
• A knowledge and/or certification in animal welfare practices desirable but not essential.
• Personal Attributes – Strong communication and customer service skills, show initiative, be well organised and self-motivated with good time management skills.
• Be physically fit to manage and restrain animals.

This position is to provide after hours, including weekend services and some public holidays. This position will also provide services during the annual Christmas close-down period.
