Proposed District Plan opens for further submissions
The Gore District Council’s review of its District Plan is nearing the business end.
The Council has today (14 February) released a summary of the 130 submissions it received to the Proposed District Plan and all submissions.
District Plan Review committee principal advisor Matt Heale said there were over 5542 submission points. They covered all aspects of the Proposed District Plan including:
- Zoning
- District-wide matters
- Objectives and Policies
- Rules
- Bulk and Location Standards
The summary of submissions and a list of submitters, along with the submissions they made, are available on the Council’s engagement portal Let’s Talk – www.lets.talk.goredc.govt.nz – through the District Plan Review hub.
The next phase of the review is to allow for further submissions in support of, or in opposition to, the submissions already made. However, those who can make additional submissions is limited to:
- Any person representing a relevant aspect of public interest
- Any person who has an interest in the proposal, greater than the general public
- The Council
The content of any further submission is limited to a matter in support or opposition to the relevant original submission. Further submissions may be made using Let’s Talk
A copy of the further submission must be served on the person who made the original submission, no later than five working days after it has been lodged.
The further submission period for the Proposed District Plan is from 14 February to 28 February.
