Alcohol Licence Applications

The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 requires all alcohol licence applications to be publicly notified. This applies to applications for a new On Licence, Off Licence or Club Licence, and applications to renew existing licences.

The Gore District Licensing Committee places all public notices exclusively on this page.

Our current applications are:

Mataura Rugby Club Inc

The Mataura Rugby Club Inc has applied to the District Licensing Committee to renew a club licence of the premises at 155 Main Street, Mataura.

The general nature of the business under the licence is a rugby club.

The days and hours it's intended to sell alcohol are:

  • Monday to Friday 2:00pm - 12:00am
  • Saturday 11:00am to 1:00am the following day
  • Sunday 11:00am to 10:00pm

Any objections to this application must be received by 29 April.

Eastern Southland Basketball

The Eastern Southland Basketball Association has applied to the District Licensing Committee to renew a club licence of the premises at 21 Avon Street, Gore.

The general nature of the business under the licence is a basketball club.

The days and hours it's intended to sell alcohol are:

  • Monday to Friday 6:00am - 11:00pm

Any objections to this application must be received by 24 April.

Mataura Licensing Trust

The Mataura Licensing Trust has applied to the District Licensing Committee to renew an off licence of the premises at 223 Main Street, Gore known as Super Liquor.

The general nature of the business under the licence is a bottle store.

The days and hours it's intended to sell alcohol are:

  • Monday to Sunday 8:00am - 10:00pm

Any objections to this application must be received by 18 March.
