Gambling
TAB Venue Policy
The policy enables our community and the Council to influence the provision of new gambling in the District.
New TAB venues can be set up, subject to the District Plan, and meeting the following criteria:
- They are not located within 100 metres of any playground, kindergarten, early childhood centre, school or place of worship;
- The are not located within 100 metres of an automatic teller machine
- Operators supplying adequate evidence that measures will be in place to ensure that people under the age of 18 years cannot access gambling facilities
