Great South is Southland’s Regional Development Agency. With a focus to create better lives for all Southlanders through sustainable development, Great South will work with key stakeholders and Southland residents to encourage regional growth of our culture and lifestyle, economic diversity and overall population.

WasteNet

WasteNet Southland is a joint service between our council, the Invercargill City Council and Southland District Council, in collaboration with Environment Southland. WasteNet's mission is to provide the co-ordinated delivery of solid waste services within Southland to achieve the region's vision of a sustainable Southland.

Environment Southland

Environment Southland is the brand name of the Southland Regional Council - the statutory body responsible for managing the region's natural and physical resources of air, land, water and coast.

Southland District Council

The Southland District Council covers an area of 30,900km² and has a population of 29,613. It is Southland's largest local authority by area, extending from Te Anau to Bluff.

Invercargill City Council

Invercargill City Council is the local council for Invercargill city and Bluff. It is Southland's largest local authority by population.
